Information on Final State Examinations

Final State Examinations consist of two parts - the professional state final examination and the defence of the final thesis. Both parts may be completed on the same day or on different dates.

Regulations Governing Final State Examinations

Final State Examinations are governed by the Directive on Final State Examinations, the Directive on the Supervision, Preparation and Publication of Final Theses at the College of Polytechnics Jihlava and the Study and Examination Regulations of the College of Polytechnics Jihlava. All documents are available for download in the Information System or at the bottom of this page.

Examination Topics

The examination topics for individual Final State examinations are available for download on this page. In the bachelor's degree programme, students draw one topic from each subject area, resulting in a total of four examination questions. In the follow-up master's programme, students draw one case study.

The Final State Examination schedule is based on the academic calendar for the relevant academic year. The current schedule for this semester is available for download on this page.

Additional Information

The professional Final State Examination for the bachelor's degree programme consists of the following subjects:

Law (Introduction to Legal Theory and Practice I-III, Essentials of Health Legislative). Social Policy (Social Policy I, II),  Theory, Methods and Techniques of Social Work (Theory of Social Work,  Methods and Techniques of Social Work), Clinical Disciplines (Selected Chapters from Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Paediatrics, Introduction to Psychiatry and Psychopathology, Social Gerontology and Geriatry, Nursing Theory).

The professional Final State Examination for the follow-up master's degree programme:

The core theoretical subjects for the final state exam are Ethical Dilemmas in Social Work in Mental Health Care,  Management of Quality and Safe Care in Healthcare Providers, and Systems Theory in Social Work.

The profile subjects, which further develop Students' knowledge and skills, include: Deinstitutionalisation and Community Services in Mental Health Care, Human Resource Management
for Social Work, Innovative Approaches in Mental Health Care, Working with Crisis in Mental Health Care, Legal Actions of Natural Persons,
and Management Law in the Social Sphere.
