In 2023-2024, an internal project is being implemented:

 Strategies for Coping with Difficult Life Situations among Selected Target Groups in Social Work.

The aim of the present project is to identify which coping strategies for difficult life situations were used by selected target groups in social work (older adults, people with mental health problems) to maintain their social functioning. Difficult life situations are a normal part of everyone's life. To cope with them - whether consciously or unconsciously - people use combinations of various strategies depending on the type of challenging life situation, the individual's personality and the environment in which the individual lives. Coping with challenging life situations is one of the fundamental topics in social and clinical social work. Nevertheless, this is an area in which existing knowledge has not yet been systematised in a way that would allow it to be effectively applied in practice. An analysis of the strategies used so far is important for the ongoing work of social and clinical social workers with these target groups, as well as for the groups themselves.
