The follow-up Master's degree programme Social Work in Mental Health Care comprehensively prepares graduates for the profession of social worker in the field of mental health care, with an emphasis on self-experience and self-reflection. Graduate Profile
The Master's degree programme deepens the knowledge of social and clinical social professionals in the field of mental health care. It responds to the needs arising from the psychiatric care reform in the Czech Republic, and its specialization aligns with the services defined in Act No. 108/2006 Coll. on Social Services.
Graduates are competent in applying theories, methods and techniques of social work in practice, particularly when working with people with mental illness. They are trained to reflect on and resolve ethical dilemmas and crisis situations arising in social work with this target group and can make informed decisions in their professional practice.
The curriculum also includes a focus on law and management, equipping the graduate with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead multidisciplinary teams.
