The College of Polytechnics Jihlava, Department of Social Work, is pleased to anounce the international conference

HUMANITAS 2026

Venue: College of Polytechnics Jihlava, Tolstého 16, 586 05 Jihlava, Czech Republic

Conference Objective: The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for bringing together representatives of higher education institutions specialising in social work and healthcare, as well as professionals working in helping professions. Participants may attend either actively as presenters or passively without presenting a paper. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance confirming completion of an educational event with a duration of 8 hours.

Humanitas 2026 Conference Theme: Population Ageing as a Challenge for Social Work

Presented papers and discussions will primarily focus on the following areas:

Current challenges for social work in the context of population ageing

Healthcare and illness with a focus on population ageing

Demographic and statistical indicators of population ageing

The psychology of old age and ageing

Current challenges in education and in linking theory and practice in clinical social care

A themed art exhibition will be held in the adjacent premises throughout the conference.
